Introduction To Warehouse Racking

Apr 05, 2026 Leave a message

Storage racks are modern warehouse storage equipment, consisting of uprights, beams, and shelves as the main structure, manufactured from high-quality steel plates through pickling, phosphating, and electrostatic spraying processes. This equipment improves warehouse space utilization through its three-dimensional structure, supports first-in, first-out (FIFO) retrieval of goods, and is suitable for industrial warehouses, logistics centers, and cold storage facilities. It can be equipped with forklifts for mechanized operations.

Based on load-bearing capacity, they can be divided into heavy-duty pallet racks, medium-duty racks, and light-duty racks. Based on manufacturing process, they can be divided into beam racks, drive-in racks, etc. Shuttle racks have a high space utilization rate of 80%-85%, and mobile pallet racks combined with an integrated WMS system can increase usable rack space by up to 90%. In intelligent warehousing technology innovation, automated racking systems achieve material information management through multi-layer storage and automatic sorting, equipped with multi-depth storage systems (including compact aisle storage systems and UPC autonomous shuttles) and safety systems (such as intelligent floor light curtains). Special racks include mold racks and flow racks, while ordinary racks can adapt to different specifications of goods by adjusting the beam height.
